Tago Arc: Smart Bracelet with a Flexible E Ink Screen that does not Need Charging [Video]
The L!BER8 company is raising money for the production of their original bracelet tago arc. The smart gadget is equipped with a curved E Ink screen, which almost completely covers the surface of the device.
The tago arc is synchronized with the smartphone and displays the incoming calls and messages notifications. When there are no messages, the bracelet screen shows patterns and designs picked by the user.
Like other E Ink gadgets, the bracelet consumes very little power ? only when you change the design. Due to the use of the NFC technology, the device does not need to be recharged. The charging rather happens in a passive mode, so that the user does not have to worry about it. Therefore, there are no buttons or slots on the surface of the bracelet.
Controlling the settings and picking the design is available via a special application for smartphones, which provides a basic set of patterns. The bracelet is equipped with a Bluetooth transmitter for the wireless connection.
You can change the image with a few simple steps. You also can put whatever pattern you like on the bracelet just by taking a picture of it with the smartphone and uploading into the device. With the help of the accompanying application, you can buy a new theme. The cost of one such theme makes up about $1.
The tago arc body is made of surgical steel coated with gold, silver or black lacquer. There are three options of the bracelet size.
The fundraising campaign for the tago arc production runs on the Indiegogo platform. Presently, the developers collected the required amount. You can pre-order the tago arc transferring $199 least. Later on, the device will cost $260. The shipments of the gadget is scheduled to start in December 2015.
